6 Things for 2026

This next year will be pivotal in the AI space as it relates to info products.

(listen to this topic at Million Dollar Grit on Apple or Spotify - available now!)

If you are a course creator or a coach, here's what you need to think about....

1. In a world where you can literally design anything, your biggest strength will be discernment. Knowing what to say NO to. The people who say NO will win more than the people who say yes. Ruthless focus.

2. This goes for your customers too. As an expert, you will need to help them discern and figure out what to say NO to because anything and everything will be possible. Build products that lead to one clear transformational outcome.

3. We're creating a barbell economy. Two things will sell well (for now). You are going to want premium HUMAN only goods and then cost effective affordable AI assisted goods. Make the distinction clear. Human touch, human interaction, and human output is about to become the luxury good.

4. Use AI to make things more affordable and accessible for the majority of your customers. Always be clear as to whether people are getting you or AI.

5. Community and connection matter in the human only goods more than ever.

6. Own your data. Email list and SMS list. Don't assume you can make it on the algorithm alone.

7. Your copy & creative will be your only tools for attracting your ideal customer as algorithms and AI take over all targeting.

8. Searchability (for both AI and humans) is key. Lots of social media platforms are becoming 50% bots and AI slop. People will increasingly retreat into their AI bots for answers.

9. Use your voice and your face as much as possible.

10. Every online business owner needs these six things in 2026:

- One high quality free offer (to build your list)

- One strong sales presentation to a buy now or application premium human good (course, service, etc.)

- One dialed in search channel and one dialed in social channel

- One solid daily sales activity (DMs, email, FB groups, networking)

- One introductory low cost easily accessible offer

The rest is noise.

Bonus - Vibe coding is the rage and it's cool. REMEMBER to build for actual problems, not just cool ideas. See #1. Also, the more accessible vibe coding becomes, the price drops. Eventually people don't pay for software because they just build their own. The companies that make money on SaaS care about the wrapper, but for many of us, micro-saas will be either free or intro offers, not 8 figure unicorns.
