After 27 Sales Calls, One Thing Is Clear...

There are a lot of people who think that the revenue drop off that showed up in 2023-2024 was their fault.

Which is easy to think if you're operating in a vacuum without a lot of insight into other businesses. However, due to the nature of my work, I am not in a vacuum.

I can tell you this was across the board. No matter the niche, the audience size, the price point... the economy and the online space went into a contraction.

What happened in that time was a scramble.

A scramble of creators announcing that things were "dead". One coach in particular I'm thinking of - after selling high ticket forever - said it was gone and pivoted to a low ticket membership.

Many followed suit.

Another example was someone who had sold a $1997 course forever, shutting it down to focus only on human-first, done-for-you high ticket.

I could list examples like this forever because big names and little names alike scrambled to pivot, adjust, and try to figure out how to sell in the market.

And many businesses didn't survive.

But you're still here.

That contraction (in a way) has become permanent. This isn't 2020 anymore. Selling is generally harder.

Yet, because I touch over 100 businesses on any given day, I can give you some hopeful news:

  • Business owners focusing on one core offer are doing well.
  • Creators who are simplifying their message and learning marketing, are doing well.
  • Webinars are still the best thing ever.
  • People still want transformational results (and are buying said result).
  • Personal brands are a moat.
  • Paying for ads is a great way to get consistent leads.
  • Consistent social on one channel is also a great way to get consistent leads.
  • AI is making things easier than ever to produce and launch.

Since I have a lot of new people in my world, I want to bring back something I said at the beginning of 2026.

The six things you need to run a profitable online business.

  1. One high quality free offer (to build your list)
  2. One strong sales presentation to a buy now or application premium human good (course, service, etc.)
  3. One dialed in search channel and one dialed in social channel
  4. One solid daily sales activity (DMs, email, FB groups, networking)
  5. One introductory low cost easily accessible offer

I'm going to do some Instagram stories and reels diving into these six things a bit more deeply, but for now... I'm pulling up the podcast I did at the end of 2025 talking about these in more detail. Give it a listen if you have a few minutes!

xx Julie
